Someone may not be able to find the ACTUAL engine out of that particular vehicle, but they can find an engine with the same serials and put it in the car and make it a "correct" car. Even away from numbers matching, even finding a 340 to put back in that car is starting to take major bucks... people sell 340 blocks that aren't guaranteed all the time for $500 or more. Either way, it would be nice to see an original 340 Swinger such as this particular one get its natural powerplant, and $1500 seems a fair price for it, but as 440RoadRunner said I would have to quite a bit of inspection before I pay $1500 for a car with no internals.
