first, yes i'm sure its gas fouled. I have checked all of the plugs and it seems to be fouling only some cant remember which ones. The color of the plugs are black and carbon fouled. The engine idles and runs smooth till i put it in gear and try to drive it. Yes i do have a thermostat it seems to be coming up to temp but not sure. I removed the egr valve when i upgraded the ignition. I did notice a problem with the metering rods the other day, one was spilling gas out the top. pulled the top of the carb and adjusted the float and it keep repeated itself. I looked at the float and it was pretty beat up so i decided to swap out the floats for another carter afb even though the floats that were in that carb were larger than the ones on the car. could that be my problem along with the metering rods. It is also a 4 barrel afb.
