pushrod installed wrong
Just wondering if anyone had this issue before, just had a stroker motor built 400-512, drove the car a few miles and rocker arm was loose and push rod danging around. Builder came out and put a new rocker arm on and replaced pushrod, same thing happened a few miles later. Has roller lifters, solid cam, anyway i pulled valve cover and was able to position the pushrod in the hole of the lifter, they had it installed sort of on the side, and i was wondering why there was much more thread exposed on the adjustment screw. So now after driving for a short time, engine is missing badly, did a compression test and now 0 compession in that cylinder. Haven't pulled the head yet. (indy), I don't think the car was ever running on full 8cylinders but still pull like a monster so didin't think anything was wrong, What do you think is damaged, valve, stem, guide? Hopefully nothing major. Builder says i must've overreved it, but when i tell him this story, he does'nt get it. Opinions?
