This is really a loaded subject. If this is an attractive hardtop (2 door) is in fairly nice shape and rust free, it'd probably be worth building, but the fact is, that if you put any power into it, say, 300hp or so, you'll "throw away" most of the suspension and drive train.
This is because the 6's had the weakest rearends, lightest springs, smallest brakes, and usually no sway bars. In addition, if it's an auto trans, that won't fit any V8.
Depending, at least some V8 swaps require a different "K" member, which is the large lower front structure which mounts the engine and lower suspension.
What I'm saying is, unless this is a REALLY nice body, you'll be spending a lot of your money on junking it out and then paying more money for V8 based components.
I'll admit----you can "get by" for awhile with the 6 rear and springs, etc, until you can afford "better."
