engine masters magazine winter 2006 features a 318 build-up that claims 415 peak horsepower (dyno). the build is by steve dulcich who doesn't need any introduction. the engine uses 318 block, crank and 360 heads (for the 1.88 1.60 valves). if you can't find this mag at your local store, check out phr online. if you can't find it, post back and i'll give you some details. it's not a real expensive engine, just some good hypereutetic pistons, hydraulic cam and intake. there is not a lot of expensive machine work involved (beyond the usual). strokers are cool, but not cheap.
