I pasted this and hope it helps, I had a 41 Dodge Bussiness coupe years back and all I can say is they used real steel on them. Mine had the 90 hp motor tied to it with a Fluid Drive Clutch (Semi-Auto)

The generator may be rebuildable with (If still availible) NAPA parts. It may just need the brushes replaced. Also ask them about front end parts they are pretty good at finding obselete or odd parts Or you could change the electrical over to 12 volts. lots of work replacing wire,lights etc.
