1966 b-body wheel/tire fits

question for anyone who has done the wheels tires on a 66-67 b-body. I want to go with 15" rims (torque thrust D to be exact) and need to know what will fit without having to shave the inside rear wheel wells. i have 225 70 14 on the rear now but am unsure if I can go with 15 x 6 or even 15 x 7 rims with 60 series tires ......and if so ....what size tires? I'm sure someone out here has gone thru this already and can save me the headache of getting rims or tires that don't fit without body mods. thanks! Dave.

do you have the troque thrust rims yet?
the big thing to look into with those rims would be the backspacing

Hello, I'm running 245/60R15 on 7" eagle alloy wheels...I don't know the back spacing, it would be the standard for eagle. A friend of mine has 255/60R15 tires on 8.5" torqe thrust d's and I'm going to try them on my car, but haven't had a chance yet. Any time I've ever ordered wheels the company has a standard back spacing and you can order different offsets.

these 66 and 67 B-bodies seem so tight in the rear wheel well area. I know if I order rims or tires and mount them I own em so I'm just trying to get a real good idea of what will fit before I dive into buying. Let me know about the 8.5" but my guess is that will be real tight.
