Ok Mopar Fans I have a 1972 road runner I have owned it for a while now about 7 years I have many mopar books and it says that there was only like 7000 road runners made in 1972 but my vin says its the 86262 one to be built can someone clear this up thanks

I believe that is just a factory number not necicarily the number of Road Runners built.

Does any one know how to get the actual production # for the road runner i am really curious the car is in great shape but it has different things i have never seen on another 72 road runner but i know for a fact my car is all original

VIN number
the number you are refering to is called the consecutive series number and starts at 10001 it includes Road Runners, Satellites , Satellite Sebrings, Etc.. There is no way to determine what number your car is, the factory did not keep those records.
This number is located on the bottom right of you fender tag as well. |
