68 GTX Power Steering Issues HELP
Hi everyone. I'm a new member and would love some advice!! My power steering unit in my 68 leaks and needs to be rebuilt but I was hoping to find a way to tighten up the steering so I can feel the bloody road with that big block in it. the steering shop says there is nothing that can be done.
The power steering is so strong my grandma could do uturns with her pinky. Any ideas or any aftermarket units that I could use instead without tons of mods invloved? I'd love to be able to feel the road in this car with that big 440 and hemi sway bar. HELP Thanks, Bobby |

hi bobby. most older mopars with the power steering feel like that. my dodge is the same way. you could go to a manual steering box that would let you feel the road. flaming river sells steering boxes and associated hardware to do this swap for around 500 bucks. i'm thinking about doing this swap myself.

THE solution is, an internal upgrade to the stock box. These guys know Mopar and it will remain looking stock.
