Battery cable

On my 67 coronet R/T with a 440 Is there an easy way to remove the battery cable from the starter without dropping the starter. You can just see the terminal from above.

I used to be able to do this easy on my 69 and 70 RR I don't recall any particular grief, although I was in my 20's back then

Had to drop the starter. No way I could get to it from the top. I'm 80 it"s
getting tough to do these things.
