Mopar Forums - A decent transaction finally!

Hi all, Im new here again. Was a member for 3 years and then went to the middle east and am now back on. I have been trying to find a Hemi for my Superbird for ten years. Everytime I find one it is either blown up, busted, not there, some scammer, etc... 4 weeks ago I found a guy on RJ that had a complete 69 engine pan to intake for 8500.00. Like the rest of you I went sure he does. Well this guy wanted half down and half to send it, but he asked me for a personal check made out to his local business?? That's a new one thought. Then he told me his bank, account where he would hold half the funds in escrow, etc.. I figured a check, I can always stop payment on that. So I bit the bullet. He waited 10 days for the check to clear like he said and then called me up for a personal delivery. Mind you its a 20 hour drive. This guy shows up, with his wife and my engine and says they have never seen N. Falls and I was on the way!! No charge. It is a complete never apart 66. He GAVE me the carbs with it. Said why not keep it matching. Im not promoting anyone or even broadcasting his name, but it was just refreshing so I thought I'd post it guys. Ive been burned so darn many times.
