Header Recommendations
Hi everyone.
I have have a car with a 440 magnum HP motor and have been thinking of putting headers on it but there sure doesn't seem to be much room in that engine compartment of my Satellite. Any suggestions on ones that you have done and fit ok without MAJOR mods or headaches installing? All my other cars have Dougs headers but I just can't see them fitting. thanks and happy early turkey day!! Bobby |

I dont know which headers you should get, but getting the smaller starter (I believe for a 92 dakota) or one of the multiple mini starters available will go a long way to making more room.

get TTI headers, or hooker they make quality products. The problem with 440 headers are fitment issues. I heard TTI clear the steering column. I had a 68 with a 440 and I was gonna buy the TTI but decided to sell the car.

have tti headers on my 360/414 72 charger. they are $$$ but awesome engineering. had hookers before. had to disconect steering to pass through header, they hit everywhere. tti has equal leangth tubes and slipped right up from bottom with no issues. does not pass around steering bar so no disconcet there. remove starter for ease of install. small starter required and they clear the bigger tosrion bars no prob on my ride. they dont hit anywhere. and the first 6" of each tube are smaller, after 6" they step up to 1 7/8" this makes scavenging effect. real nice. ceramic coated outside and ceramic coated inside as well. i like em.
