I have a 63 Australian Dodge Phoenix (based on the 440)
the heater fan does not work I believe it may have something to do with the vacuum switch but am unsure. I followed the wire from the fuse box ( the second black wire) and it went to an electronic style box. the interesting thing is that acording to the workshop manual is that the wire I was chaseing is the correct wire (black in color) goes to a vacuum switch, from the vacuum switch it leaves via a violet wire ( this box had a figure 8 cable leaving it(which has power)). I has been cut off and left under the dash. Also the manual I have is for the 64 model and is a US book To the best of my knowledge no Australian car was fitted with air conditioning (having said that my car does have an A/C bracket fitted to the motor) .

On my 64' the motor had two wires one was a ground and was grounded to the heater box, the second went from the fan motor to a 3 pin connector on the other side of the heater box above the heater valve, of the 3 pins, one was the wire going to the heater motor, the other two went to the dash mounted heater control switch, power came to the switch from the fuse box from a fourth wire!
