K Member Swap???

I have a 66 Coronet 500 with the original 318 and am currently building a 383 for it do I need to swap the K member. I am getting conflicting reports from my resources.

hey dave
my 66 500 it had a smallblock from the factory and i was gonna swap it but couldnt locate a bb k-frame everything will bolt up easier with the bb k-frame if not you can you schmuaucer motor mounts on your existing frame ive seen them sold in mopar muscle mag but i have never used them

They might be thinking of the A-Body. I believe you are correct in that the B/E body both use the same K-Members for small blocks and big blocks.

Hi Guys .... Now the Abody ?.. I am not that familiar with. Since they never offered a B-engine in an A body .. you are going to have to make your own mounts. What is in my collection ??... now ???? .... a couple of RB powered motorhomes, a 62 Belvedere, a RB powered front-engined dragster and a B-engine drag boat. And YES ... D M .... you will need mounts - but those are simple and cheap OEM items.

Sure they did.... from '67-69, both the Barracuda and Dart were available with 383's, and in 69, both had 440's as options.
