Mini-Tub / Leaf spring Relocation??

Hey Mopar World! I would like to pick some brains out there... I have a 1972 Ply Satellite that i am considering doing a mini-tub and leaf spring reloction kit on. Actually i had already started a bit, I drilled out spot welds and removed deck lid braces and tray package support. I am not familiar with the relocation kit, it says i can move wy springs in by 3" (Summit Kit). My measurements shows that i will be getting in to the subframe??? Have not been able to find installation intstructions on these and I havnt ordered them yet. Also I have fuel lines that tuck inside of the wheel well on the RT side and a brake line on the LT side... I planned on replacing fuel line to 3/8" anyway since I'm installing a big block so i imagine i can reroute it. I'm also installing an 8 3/4" rearend from a '69 charger and heard it may be a bit narrower then my original 8 1/4". By my measurements I'm gonna gain about an extra 2" of clearance (getting really close to the subframe). Does anyone have any experience with those relocation kits or doing a mini-tub? Is it worth the trouble for an extra 2" (or is my calculaions wrong)? I would like to hear from your experiences.... Thanks

I have an A Body and the spring relocation kits put the front hanger into the frame rail you have to cut it out and weld in the new front hanger. It is well worth it in our smaller cars cus the wheel opening in the rear sucks. If you get a chance look at my signature. In the Aspen I have P275/60/15's and the Dart has P235/60/15's in the rear. It make me sick when I look at them together from the rear. I am going to do the same on my Dart as you are going to do on yours. Is it worth it? Hell ya.

Thanks for the quick responses... I done some more research on the net, looks like I will have to reroute my fuel and brake lines since they are routed and secured on the wheel side of the frame rail. I seen some tub jobs actually cutting into the frame rail and then box welding it back in, i wonder if that will weaken the integrety of the rear frame? I think i will go ahead and relocate my springs.... that will give me an idea how far in I can move my inner wheel well in... Thanks guys!
