Follow the wiring from the starter relay off to the right. THE SWITCH IS NOT LABELED.
From the starter relay, under the solenoid on the diagram, follow the brown-yellow wire off to the right. Notice it goes to the CENTER of the round object, which is the neutral safety switch/ backup light switch. The outer two connections are for the backup light switch. On this diagram, the top left and top right connections on the relay represent the two "push on" connectors. It matters not which is which, they are the magnetic coil of the relay The very bottom terminal, with the heavy wire going to the battery, is the big stud/ nut the terminal feeding the starter solenoid is the "square" bare screw terminal. The neutral safety switch GROUNDS the center terminal in park or neutral http://i54.tinypic.com/2dr6jid.jpg |
neutral safety switch
If you look at the first diagram I posted.at the top find back-up LT Sw (manual) on the right you will see a round unmarked switch with 3 wires one marked Blk Tr that is your neutral safety switch. Hope this helps ,Bob
