C-body is C-body, right?
Greetings Crew Members.
I'm considering fender skirts for my 1969 Chrysler Newport Custom 4-door sedan.
My question: is one 'fuselage' C-body the same as another?
I've seen 4-door New Yorkers and 300s with skirts.
If any 69-71 'fuselage' skirt will work, I'll begin looking for a set.

So dig this- I've been doing some research.
From what I can tell, 1971 New Yorker skirts will fit my 1969 Newport.
New Yorkers didn't have fender skirts in '69 or '70. Neither did the 300s.
Imperials are a little different elephant.
"Fuselage" C-body Newports NEVER had skirts... which is why I want skirts.
I saw a picture online of a dark red 1970 Newport 2-door WITH skirts.
It can be done.
The New Yorker trim will have to be removed and filled. Still not quite sure how skirts are attached- they'd have to be some type of 'quick-change' fasteners in case of a (flat) tire change?
Had fun surfing for old Mopar information. Saw lots of wicked-cool Mopar pics. Almost wish I had the nerve to dress-out my Spinnaker White Newport Custom to look like a 300Hurst. I saw many variations on the basic Hurst paint design. A few wild paint jobs on overseas 'boats'.
A cool paint job like that is worth, what... like 15 more horse power?
By-the-way, I totally 'disturbed the peace' the other day in the neighborhood. Released a long loud violent smokey burn-out in front of my buddy's house. I really upset this old bat who was fiddle-farting with her daffodils. The 'look' she gave me (as I flashed past) was priceless!
Walked back to the spot later to survey my handywork- that black stripe carried past THREE houses!

Furys, Monicos and Polaras were also C-body cars but these were cousins not brothers.
I bought a nice set of 72 New Yorker skirts from Murray Park in Ohio. Nice people and a fair price for some semi hard-to-find parts.
Mopar or no car, Captain Chrysler
