Filler neck hose

Filler neck hose
Thanks to help from this forum I found a fuel sender. Now I need a filler neck hose for the same 65 fury III. It is a hose about 3 or 4 inches long and 2" id on one end and 1 3/4" on the other. It's the hose that connects the filler neck to the tube that fits into the tank.

I'm not sure how you measured the I.D.'s for this hose, but when I replaced this section of hose it was 2" I.D. end to end. I did notice that the metal fill pipe from the tank that passes through the frame had a ring with a tab on it that bolted to the frame rail. This attaching point increased the end of the pipe to 2" O.D. on the outside of the frame rail just beyond the tab that bolts to the frame rail. You may not have an original cross filler extension pipe and will have to sleeve the outer end of the pipe to bring it to 2" O.D. What you need to bridge the gap is a 5" section of fuel rated rubber hose ( definitely not radiator hose ) that you can get at any good hydraulic supply house. You can also get it at some good parts stores but you'll have to buy 3 feet minimum and it's expensive as hell unless you get lucky and can buy just a foot. The hose from hydraulic shops is quite thick walled so buy two quality clamps ( bolt compression type they also have ) because gear clamps just won't cut it reliably.
