I'll call him for sure, maybe I can get something a little less expensive. I'll be sure to mention you

Also I'm curious, I've heard that the transmission on my fury (the 727 torqueflight 3speed auto) can only handle small blocks, could it handle a 340? It currently has a 318 but if I were to upgrade I'd love the 340.

Yes... Just an FYI... The Small Block and the Big Blocks on Chrysler Products use different Bell Housings for there engines...
Small Block Housing for Small Blocks
Big Block Housing For Big Blocks

If you wind up needing a transmission? CRT is My Choice... http://coperacingtrans.com/

We are currently exploring options to get the oil slinger nice and snug, so far no progress has been made because I've been working 12 hour shifts.

I wanted to check with you guys, would putting washers next to the slinger to make it fit be a bad idea? I'm not really sure how the engine would tolerate that.

Hey guys, been away for a little while. I guess what happened is when I ordered a new timing chain they sent me a double roller instead of a single. It still fits and runs but prevents the oil slinger from seating correctly.

I read on mopar chat that double rollers dont need oil slingers but that was for 440s. Not 318s.

Thoughts? Should I leave it alone? Take off the oil slinger? Replace the timing chain?

Yeah I see that, is that picture upsidedown? On mine the big cog goes on the upper slot.

Are there any modifications I should make to make it sit right? On another forum someone mentioned something about drilling a new hole in the block or something.

We tightened the lower crank bolt correctly and everything kind of fell into line
