Dual exhaust

I have an 80 Volare with the gas tank offset. how do I put in dual exhaust as I have dropped the 225 and dropped in a 318?
Thanks,

I think you can only turn those out in front of the rear tire on each side...
Just my 2 cents....

How about stopping at the rear axle? Sorry Im not familiar with the inspection laws in the great white north... :)

I've seen over and under (shot gun style ) done, but I did an aspen once over the axel exiting behind the rear wheels.

I can't see the set up, so can't recommend anything specific, but are side pipes legal up north? Might look really cool.

Had a 77 Volare RR did the repo TA mufflers. DON'T drive next to a wall with the window open for any length of time

Re: exhaust

for late 77-80 aspens you can run duals out back like i did. you have to shift the gas tank over one set of ribs(bottom of the tank is ribbed) to the pass side. you will need to extend your filler neck by 1-2 inches. then the pass side is stock aspen v8 bends, drivers side is 69 dart 340 drivers side bends. if you know a good exhaust shop he will be able to find out where to bend specs are(thats how my shop did it,) this will give you true over the rear axle to under the bumper rear exit dual exhaust. unfortunately fo 76- mid 77 f bodies you cant do this with the hump tanks.

Hope this helps
Fred

nice advice, mraspen!

I'd recommend having the exhaust dump at the rear of the back tires if you have something more than mild street cruiser.
