new best time...

to end the season, my mirada turned in a 12.47@106ish mph....on DRs, running 87 octane...:)

12.47 @ 106 on drag radials on 87 octane in a heavy car- nice! where did you run? our season has been over for awhile- it has rained for what seems like a month. some local guys are going south to race this weekend at (i think) Farmington. opening day at my local track will be the first weekend in april- plan to attend !

that was at pittsburgh raceway park...

farmington..where do you reside?

home

home is fort erie, ontario. my local track is cayuga. i help a friend with his car, and we ran at cayuga, st thomas, grand bend and empire (new york international raceway park), this past year. we got out in april after thrashing to get the car put back together, and raced most weekends until august. my friend ran the car some friday nights at lancaster (1/8 mile), but i didn't go since i could not leave work early enough on friday afternoons. he also ran at norwalk at the classic, but again could not get time off work to go. i did not drop the name farmington to impress, just mentioned it. some local guys who run at st thomas who are older than me and have their own business or whatever, travel quite a bit and have the means and oppurtunity to travel and race far from home. if you check results at farmington you'll see some ontario boys racing. whats pittsburgh raceway like? saw some pics of guys racing there in october.

pittsburgh is a decent track, and with the new owners it seems to be getting better...

pittsburgh

hope to get out to a couple of classic events this season (2007). may get out to pittsburgh.

1 Bad Mirada 12-06-2006 08:22 PM

i hope to make it to the pittsburgh and norwalk event..maybe more. i have to see the status of the demon and the mirada...i REALLY want to have the demon ready to roll by the mopar nationals. :)

joedirt77 12-06-2006 08:38 PM

would also like to go to norwalk. bowling green is too far, but could make a few of the events closer to home. by the way, someone made an offer to buy my mirada. don't really want to sell, but am not using it right now. like i mentioned it started out as a factory 360 4bbl car, 904, 8 1/4 sure-grip 2.24 car. there is no engine in it now, and it has the 727 and 8 3/4 sure-grip with 3.91's. the original 360 is long gone, know where the 904 is but don't have it, and i have the original rearend. don't know if i should sell it. what do you think?
