Swapping to Electric Fuel Pump on my '55 Dodge

Has anyone done a mechanical to electric fuel pump swapout on one of their cars before? Is it difficult? Any issues to watch out for?

If so, a few questions:
- where did you attach it?
- I assume you added some type of automatic shutoff switch??
- If you leave the key in ignition mode, does it overheat the pump, since it is running all the time?
- any pressure issues in connecting to a carburetor?

Any other tips would be great.

The swap itself is pretty easy. Just make sure you don't get something with out of control pressure or volume ratings and you'll be fine.

I have attached them in various places. Just be logical about it and you'll be fine. Inside frame rails is popular.

Most will shut off when they reach a certain pressure so leaving key on isn't an issue. That being said... why not an ACC position?
