89 W-250 TBI to Carb?
I have a 89 W-250 I am going to switch from Fuel injection to carb. I am changing dist. and putting on a 600 Edelbrock carb. My question is about the in tank fuel pump. Should I run a regulator with bypass or can I add a inline electric fuel pump and will it pull fuel through the in tank pump if not hooked up? Thanks, Todd

You'll have to remove the in-tank pump and install either an in-line electric or conventional mechanical pump. The TBI pumps run 5 times the pressure an Edelbrock carb can take.

I have an '88 318 that had TBI. I installed a cast 4 barrel intake. You may have to remove the intank pump and lengthen the pickup tube and screen .I don't think it will draw throught the pump. My engine is in a '63 panel using a different tank. My big problem is the distributor. My engine has a hydrolic roller cam, yours may not, but I cant find a dist that will work. An older point type dist is 7/16" too short and will not engage the drive gear. I'm still looking for answers.
