Roller cam for LA motor
Sorry if this has been discussed here before, 1+ hour of searching and didn't find what I want to know. I'm replacing the 318 in my 87 B150 with a 408 short block. Would like to run a roller hydraulic camshaft. What is required. Will this require machining? Do manufactures make drop in products? This is a mild built up for light hauling duty.
Thanks for your help.

crane makes a "retrofit roller kit" i got one and installed it very easily in my 360. it requires very minor grinding to slip roller down in bores. the humps interfere with the cross bar. so i guess you may have to do it when your building so you can clean the metal shavings. but its a hydraulic roller so you get a easy streetable roller setup. rollers are about 650$ cams are about 350-400$ they have 6 different grinds i think.
