vent window moldings
 

hey guys,

I bought my truck not long ago and had an extremely bad whistle from the driver's vent window. I bought new moldings and put them in. I now have a really bad wind noise even though it looks as though I installed them correctly.
It's a 1989 Dodge d-150. Any ideas?

handle that you open and close the window with the nylon could be wore out. just a thought. if you go down the road and wile it makes wind noise and pull on the knob does it quit?

it helps a little, but doesn't go away completely. Do you know how to tighten the window lock?

i dont think you can? you gotta replace it i believe. what i did was stuck match books behind it. can you post a good pic of the vent winow? so i can see it. there is a allen style set screw that hold it on correct? if so loosen the set screw and with the window open have someone push it in tighter will you retighten the set screw. see if that helps. ps did you use any seal adhesive when you put the seal on?
