1991 Wrangler YJ right front axle seal
I have a 1991 Jeep Wrangler Renegade, 6cyl, 5 spd. I have a right (passenger side) front axle leaking. How long does this normally take to replace (at a dealer and if I try it on my own? And would I need to replace anything else at the same time? Money is a issue. Thanks

Only seal.... Last one in my shop was $400... buck parts and labor...

Bob, are you saying for one right front seal it cost $400.00?
|
No...I would not do just one side... But that's just me.. :)

Bob, Is that for both front axle seals, pinon seal, disconnect axle gasket, diff housing gasket and oil. $400.00? Do the front axle u joints and the upper/lower ball joints ever go bad? I've got around 180,000 (easy) miles on this jeep. The only thing I do know is the real output seal on the transfer case is leaking and the front right axle seal leaking. I really like this jeep had it sense new. I'm kind of in the middle of selling it or fixing up. I just don't want to spend to much then find out it's not worth it? All information is greatly appreciated.

That was just seals only... No extras.... Everything else is an added cost...:)
