to turn crank or not

Just looking for some opinions on what I should do. I have a 71 440H block that I had cleand check and bored to 30 over several years ago.I was told when I selected the pistons I would the have it sized to the pistons .I oiled and stored motor and kinda of forget about it. I have the orginial head but had no work done to them. The forged crank was /seemed to be in good shape when I had engine bored. Now the crank has surface rust because i neglected to oil it down several years ago when I stored it. My question is should I have the crank check and polished (if possible) or if necessary have it turned before I try to sell engine? I going to tell it like it is Im a great parts changer but I have no knoweledge on how people actually build motors and what the want in them. I got alittle over my head and I'm just bailing out. BeforI try to sell the engine I wanted to do what was necessary to move it in a timely and cost efficient manner . I don't want to spend money where it would just be wasted.

depends on how much you want to sell the motor for ??

I'd offer it for sale as is, big inch motors are built every day with new cranks. You could go through the work only to sell it to a guy that doesn't need the crank and take a hit on it.
