Yikes slantsix forum is down
 

So, I've been frequently viewing the HEI howto over at slantsix when yesterday I noticed it was down. Apparently their web host (GoDaddy) lost the forum database.

I used to run a small website with a friend which was hosted by GoDaddy, we were never happy with them and changed hosts as well. I remember back in 2011 when they where facing massive boycotting for supporting SOPA, It was great.

Anyway, I suppose the true moral of the story is to make frequent offsite backups.

I hope for a speedy recovery for slantsix.org. In the mean time I can still access an archive of the howto (and forum) using wayback machine.

Good Site and good guys/gals... Hope they get it fixed....
These sites are tough to run and keep up with.
