carb help

I am working on a 69 Dodge Daytona Charger.I need to know what the # on the carb is suppose to be and if it is suppose to be an AFB or an AVS.It has the 440 with the automatic trans.

the carb should be a carter avs as far as the number goes i think it should be the same as a charger R/T as they were built on the same platform aswell as the charger 500 i did happen to see an original unmolested one at the nats 440/4spd car and it was a avs

my 67 440 came stock with an 800 CFM AFB (aluminum 4-barrell) made by carter

Welcome greg and first off is the carb on the car and is there a number we can have to see if its the right one ? or are you looking to find the right one

carb help

The # on the carb is 4618AS and it is an AVS.The owner of the car is the 2nd owner and he is not sure it is the right one.I'm helping do the restoration on this car and I don't want to rebuild the carb if it is not the right one.

I would put my money on it being an AVS. The right # ? ...I do not know. How about this .. put that # you have on eBay and see what it comes up as. Ask the seller what it is supposed to fit.
