NEW AND LEARNING

Hows it going! I am new to this thread as well as the mopar world. I recently bought a 1972 Plymouth Valiant. I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions as to what V8 motor, if any, would slide in nice to my sedan 1972 Valiant.

You can install anything in anything but a small block fits the best, 318 and the 360. What is in it now?

well welcome, I'd say you cant go wrong with a stock 360. Either LA style or the newer Magnum. {I even like the 318 but don't tell no one....haha}

Thank You! Well I am a college student so Im trying to do the cheapest swap I can. that will also last me. I'd rather take my time and get it done right but I still want to spend as little as possible.

Yeah that's what I've been reading up. I currently have the 225 Slant 6. Just not satisfied with the power.

I would go with a Magnum 318. BUT That is not all you have to do.. You need Engine, trans, rear end. radiator, driveshaft, motor mounts...
