Head Gasket Failure 3.0

Recently had the head gaskets on 93 Lebaron replaced. the repair failed after less than a week. The shop ended up reusing the head bolts and I am pretty sure they did not torque them down as specified as they informed me that I would need to come back to do a follow up and re-torque them.... The mechanic is blaming my fel pro gasket set.....

Is this a TTY engine and why would head bolt tightening be necessary if cold 80 in 3 steps is recommended?

Were the heads surfaced?

Sounds like they should have been, ether that or you have a cracked head.

I did wonder that. I have a hunch that it wasn't torqued correctly.

You cant seal a warped head with any gasket, at least not very long.

Fel Pro makes a good gasket set.. Something else is wrong. A proper mechanic should have at least checked the heads with a straight edge, had them pressure tested and replaced the bolts instead of cutting corners.
If you have a torque wrench ?? Check the torque settings !
