More of a result of pipe-dreaming than actual inside info, the 2010 Plymouth Road Runner Concept that’s featured in the August/September issue of Mopar Enthusiast magazine is based on the new Dodge Challenger using styling cues from the ’71-’72 model year Road Runners. The folks at Mopar Enthusiast beleive that if the car were to be produced today, it should be powered by a HEMI 5.7L V8 as standard with 6.1L and 7.0L V8 HEMIs being offered as optional equipment. -Continued

I really like that roadrunner concept. And if they come out with that charger concept they are going to cost twice as much as they do now. And that baracuda concept.... only one thing to really say about that..... WHAT THE F#CK IS THAT! lol I'm not a fan of that one as I have said before. And yes if they reproduced the '68 dart that would be a very cool car, especially if they made it just a tad smaller and stuffed the 6.1's in them and had them come stock with 50's on the back..... yeah I'm dreamin but it would be awesome. It would probably stomp anything on the road though.

With the new regs just put in place, 35.5 mpg fleet average by 2016, we've seen the end of these type of cars. All efforts will be in hybrids and small econo cars. Many pundits are saying it's the end of V8 gas engines. Get em while you can guys.

I'd love to have that Roadrunner!!
I'm worried someday they will try to take our beloved cars for being big carbon foot printers. With no up to date smog equipment and all.
That will be the day when they try to take my guns too.
In that case they will have to pry the keys out of one hand and my gun out of the other...
Drive your ol' Mopars when you can!!!

dart? scamp?
hey, mopardrt, love the dart. my dad had one, a 72 i think... i dont have alot of money. my dad owned one when i was a kid, at 34 i settled for the scamp, since the darts run way to high for my wallet. my scamp is a 72...plan to drop in a v-8. 318- 340- or360. not sure yet..... but they should bring back the dart for sure, and dodge can always bring back the scamp for us poor guyz.....lol

chrysler needs to stick with being original I think ma mopar should see that old names do not work well, even more so when the names they bring back for cars never sold in the first place like the aspen and magnum those cars never sold well back in the late 70's

Chrysler is working on design and launch of the replacement for the LX platform [300, Charger]. Since the Chally is built on the same chassis, the design may be able to address some changes in the Chally design that that the designers were forced to make because of the use of an existing chassis. Its no secret that the Chally looks too tall. They tried to hide this visually by painting the rockers black. I still cant figure why the Magnum wagon never caught on? I love that car, but I'm kinda "off" to start with!
