1925 rat rod

So....I have the shattered, chopped, and mutilated remains of a 1925 Dodge Brothers sedan. I mean literally down to the absolute minimum, as in it was cut in half and made into a pickup for the farm and then when it stopped running it was torn to pieces for misc. parts. Now the only reason it wasn't scrapped is because it was my great grandpas and it was the first vehicle on our farm. I want to make a rat rod out of it. What I have for parts for this project is the front of the cab, the front two doors, the complete back of the cab, and the front fenders(will NOT be used). I have a 1946 Willys Jeep frame, a complete Ford 8.8" rear end out of a '90 F150, and a '79 360 with a 727 to match. I also have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee with about 95% of its parts(it runs and drives...) that I can steal parts off of. I really need some opinions and help on this one guys, it's literally a Frankenstein build that's barely been started. Thanks!

Sounds like quite a bit of work is ahead of you for this project. I'm not sure how the frame will line up, you may have an easier time building your own frame. I'm sure there will be a huge need for custom fabrication regardless.

With what you have for vehicles/parts, it sound like more work than it may be worth IMO.

I love it. I would be on this like a dog on a dead salmon.

If your jeep is a V8 it will be the 5.2L (318) Magnum which would be a big bonus.

I like builds like this because your not held to any strict guidelines and any parts can be used.

1925 rat rod

Haha thank you. Unfortunately the Jeep has the 4.0 which still runs, but isn't much of a rod engine.

More work than its worth

I know for a fact this project is way more work then it will ever be even close to worth. But it has been on the farm for 90 years, and I've always wanted to do a start from scratch project.

Make sure you put some kind of music system in so you can listen to '20's and '30's music like he did.

Exhaust Radio

Well I most likely will put a radio in there, but I don't know how effective it will be with open headers haha.

Not sure whats all left of that car.... But the 1925 was a very nice care back in the day... Out run the Packard's/Essex's....

Little hard to get V-8's in them. But it can be Done.... Post up some pictures... Sounds like a fun project... :)
