HEADERS

Looking to find somewhere to buy some headers for my 1989 Dodge D-100,
With a 239CI 3.9L V6. No auto part stores sell them for my truck, And I tried Jegs and summit, no luck either, anyone know where i could find some for my truck?

I'm not sure if anyone sells them. You have two options, either get a header kit and make you own (or have an exhaust shop do it for you) or see if you can retro fit a pair for a ram 1500. Either way, you are probably looking at a good amount of money for what little gain they will give you on that motor in that truck.

What you should do is save up your money and swap in a 318/518A or 727 in place of that V6. You'll have more power and a lot more options for add-ons. Not to mention that you would probably spend the same amount buying that combo and swapping it in as you would on a set of headers for that truck.

I second the motion

78D is right on the money!! 3.9 has the same bellhousing pattern I think. You should be able to put a 318 in it's place without much fuss.

I know that the Magnum motors do, not too sure about the earlier motors. Either way, I wouldn't trust any tranny that came behind the 3.9L with a V8 in front of it for very long.

Im thinking that if the exhaust dumps are in the same location as the v-8 daks. then id consider using the headpipe from a v-8 dak, or get the head pipe then cut the ends off and use your flanges on the headpipe, then use an 8 cyl. exh. all the way out, The pipe is probly 1/2 in bigger in size, and a little less restrictive. at least youll get some bettter flow out of it, and not spend as much for an 8 cyl. swap. then you can have your ecm. remapped for the exh. change.as far as lean to rich mixture, and timing changes.
