Not sure what the problem is??? More might depend on the type you want and color. If you're running headers, you want universal male dist end and 90 deg plug end wires.
I like Accel wires, but MED has a good following as do a few others and Summit / Jegs have good selections and even local Advance shops have stuff in stock.
Also, if you have headers, have fun routing the wires...

see i went to the local pepboys. and the only wires they have are accels.
i opened up the box and they didnt look like the maxblue wires i had on them.
did they make two different caps? it didnt look like the connecters would go into the distributor. or maybe im just crazy? do you have a part number on those by chance? what do your wires say on them? mm wise?

The ones in the picture are 8MM Accel Super Stock Spiral core wires. The box says: Accel number 5041Y (Universal Yellow 90 Degree Boot w/ Male and Points Cap)
They have two sets of distributor boots (for std and GM HEI caps) and you have to assemble that end.
I got mine from Summit, but I've seen the same set in Advance.
Can you post a picture of your distributor cap?

See the only ones they stock by me are 4041 and 4041r
they come with boots and 90degree silver connectors and gold colored striaght connectors.
they don't look like they'll fit. I cnt include a pic till later. Can u take a pic of each side of one wire if its easy enough. Thanks for your help

Not sure if this will help:
Sorry can't pull a wire right now. The plug is usually a 90 deg for most 440 applications, but that depends on your header set up. The dist end is the only one you have to really worry about. If you're not sure, call Summit and talk to their techs. they do know their stuff - and have a pretty good stock.
The 4041 are the std Accel Super Stock wires and are OK for street use (I've used them before) but have a lower temp rating. I've used them and they fine, just don't have the metal spiral core wrap which is a + or - depending on who you listen to.
