mopar wrenches and sockets
1 Attachment(s)
I was wondering if anyone could give me any information on a value of these tools. They are all Mopar and I know for a fact they are at least 40 years old

I have a mopar socket set. I was told there were awards to mechanics
|
I'm sure that's what they were. Ma used to have the Mopar troubleshooting contests
Here's an award on another thread http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/...ad.php?t=45552 http://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparf...ooting-contest |
I've got tons of them they were called "Gold Tool Awards". every year there was a new tool for doing and passing the monthly test of knowledge/course that Chrysler had. They would anodize the tools Gold and put a stamp in them with the Gold Tool Award and the year. If they don't have that stamped in them they were not the awards...Bill

Mine don't have that stamped into them. Only sizes and mopar usa
|
Was told by a man yesterday that Bonney made these tools for Chrysler back in the mid 60's
|
Bonney Forge was my understanding also.... That place locked the doors about 10 or so years ago.... Soooo Sad.
|
That is sad to hear. Those tools are well over 40 years old and the quality you just can't beat. Tough to buy a product anymore that lasts that long and still works

I have a set of "gold tool awards" ratcheting wrenches that I earned while working at frontier Dodge in Great Falls Montana in 1977. 4 wrenches in a nice white vinyl pouch!
