1970 Cuda ... Strange tail lights?!!??!!

I have purchase a 1970 Cuda and the code says it is a 1970 as do the fenders... however it has round tail lights similar to the 1973. Strange to me has anyone heard of a 70 with round tail lights or a reason someone would cob it up. The body is in good shape but of course the floors and trunk is rusted and it hard to tell if it was somehow welded on. That is all the car is, just the shell. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The round tail lights were used on 72-74 Barracudas only. If they are round on your car, chances are it's a tail panel from one of those years. Probably was rear ended at some point, and that's what parts they could find to piece it back together.
