1972 Demon"Buy or Don't"

So at almost 44 thinking of buying a project not sure if price is right. What do you guys think? 6000 or best offer all orginal 225-6 120,000mi a little surface rust.http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...type=1&theater

Pics might help, but IMO 6k for a slanty is a bit steep.

Coronet 500 01-29-2012 08:33 AM

I would agree with Mr340. Are you considering a lower offer?

Mr.Duster 01-29-2012 12:26 PM

looks like its pretty much restored is there any rust anywhere on it? id probably pay 5 for it. I def dont think he would take it for 4 in that kind of condition and the work he put into it.

Stlrfreak 01-29-2012 12:37 PM

He didn't do any work except bought the wheels . all orginal paint, interior was owned by 94 yr old lady who bought it new.they got it from fire co. she left it to 3 years ago

That's more mileage than your ideal little old lady car. If you're wanting to change up a lot on it, you might be better off with a cheaper car.

That is what I was thinking, this seller thinks he has gold, when reality the bubble burst on these cars a couple years back. Personally I wouldn't go any more that 3k and that's just cause the body looks solid. I might go as high as 4.5-5k if it was an original V8 with floor shift.

You can find those cars on Craigslist 4 2000 up. I bought a 69 Road Runner complete not run ning 4 $6000.00. Not bad shape, air grabber hood, with a 77 440. Got it runnin and everything works! Needs paint and interior. Just shop around, may have 2 go a few states over to find a project car. Dont let your age be a factor, Im 59 and havin a great time with this. Good luck!
