As this is the first time I have ever built an engine, SB or BB, I was wondering what combinations I would need to achieve the wanted performance and horse power. The car is not going to be a racer, more of a fair weather cruiser. Here are the facts of the engine as it sits right now;
1969 383/.030 stock (except the bore), 4bbl carb It will be put into a '69 Dart GTS clone with the appropriate BB 727 street/strip trans. and 8 3/4 rearend with 3:55 posi. I am just getting started with this project, so have a long way to go. So any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

how much ya spending
that's what it comes down to. living in the USA your at least about $1600-2000 better off then any mopar fan in Australia that's just in shipping, anyway any mopar purple cam can't hurt & a 451-474-496 cid stroker would get ya going with stock heads real nice.( change your stock valves for 1 piece s/s ones, you may already have them). I'm getting one of these my self from the USA & having it sent over. 440 source & muscle motors seem to have all the goodies. i also just bought a book called big block mopar performance hp books.it will give you some really good options. good luck.
