413 Max Wedge,is it worth it?
I have a chance to buy a 1962 413 max wedge.Is it easy to buy performence parts for and is it worth the $425.00 asking price?Does not have the origanal cross ram.

First, I'd suggest you do some research to make sure this actually is a "Max wedge."
The thing that really "made' a max wedge was the cam, heads, and intake. If the intake is missing, you've removed a huge amount of the value. If the heads are the wrong ones, you've removed another great amount of value. You can buy better cams today, so that may or may not be much of an issue. If this is a good running 413, in good shape, that's not a bad price, whether it's a Max or not. |
