Cool Any good auto shops in Minot, ND?

Hi everyone, I just purchased my first Mopar muscle car, a 72 Challenger. It has a 340 with a 904 auto transmission. I was wondering if anyone could steer me in the direction of a good mechanic shop in Minot, ND. The 340 has lost oil pressure before I purchased it and I would like to have a good engine rebuild job done on it with some perfomance mods. Any and all advice on what the most cost-efficient mods for the most hp, would also be appreciated. I was hoping to do the rebuild for under 4000 if possible. I also want to make sure I take it to a shop that is going to do it right. I am not what I would consider a wealthy man and have had to save for this car, and this build and want to make sure it is done right the first time.

I will be awaiting your responses. Thanks and can't wait to become a more knowleagable member on the site.

Re:Any good auto shops in Minot, ND?

I had a car starter installed to the tune of several hundred dollars. It was quite a hassle because I needed to use their transport service to drop off the vehicle and pick it up. Which is to be expected. What shouldn't be expected is that they neglected to test the car starter before they called me to have me pick it up. I used the tranpsort service again, got my vehicle, got it home and realized that even though the remote starter worked, it didn't turn on any of the accessories. So it would start but not turn on the heater, which is the purpose of it in winter. I had to do the transport thing all over again, and no apology. Not 6 months later the remote starter works about 50% of the time.

You need to decide up front, what you want and expect. Check out the experiencwe and check out the reputation of the chosen shop. A lot of business' mean well and take on jobs that they have no business taking.
Find out as much about what you want done before your sold a bill of goods that sound ok.

Good Luck,

George
