Gen1Hemi
OK i hope someone can help me i picked up a Gen1 Hemi eng#c542-8-23046 now if someone could decifer these numbers It has Chrysler Fire Power stamped in the valve covers???i am building a 1965Dart GT i already have started gathering parts car org/6 i have 23splineA833 an8.75 rearend with 323 gears the motormount tabs on the block look the same as a LA318?? will aLA318 bellhousing --flywheel xcetra fit should i bother (if parts are even avail)rebuilding this Hemi and if so can someone tell me where to get parts it has a castiron 4bbl intake on it and center dump exhaust mans any tips thoughts or other input would be greatly appreciated thanx guys

Hi
I believe you have an old style 354 engine, the distributor is probably in the back and the valley over the cam and tappets have a seperate cover with a spyder type cast intake above it. Probably a mid 50's to early 60's engine. See Ya, George |
