Working on the house but should be outside, it's going to be in the upper 50s today so I might have to do some yard work later.

Bob you got a daytime picture of the Plymouth?

No, I dont, That night it got towed off. The fuel tank was leaking and it was raining like hell. I could not afford to have and take a chance on it lighting up and burning down everything else I have ever work for. It was bad.

Some of the observation I noted:::: Remember.. It's a unibody car...
1. L.H. Quarter Panel, Got shoved by the rear axle and wheel assy. and moved the door pillar and moved/wedged the L.H. door into the L.H. front fender.
2. L.H. Roof in the above the Quarter Window had a bad wrinkle in it. And this roof has been repaired before from cancer.
3. Rear Floor pan was now junk.
4. Bumper and brackets are now junk
Rear Valance panel. Tail lamp panel. Tail Lamp's and housings, Quarter extensions. Both quarter panels damage. Driveshaft might be bent, and I sure woulds have to do a trans, would not trust it at this point. Rearend at best had a bent axle, wheel, and killed the tire, Fuel tank was punctured, Wiring had a little to be desired,
So at this point... they can ether fix it and give it back to me? or give me 18,000 for it and call it a day? Maybe with a option to find me another one!
Wish I could get some day pictures of it... i would add it to my collection.

How's the yard work going?

Just got back in and cleaned up. Yesterday helped Ford son take down the rest of his chimney making closet space for her in the main floor bathroom and more room in the basement for his renovation.

Demon son and I have been going hot and heavy on my '70 Coronet. Welding some bits and pieces, he's scraping, grinding and wire wheeling the underside for primer and rubberized undercoat, looks MINT.

We have decide to forget the hot roddy pro street idea and go with magnum serpintine drive with air conditioning, Holley Sniper EFI, a bunch of electronics with door and trunk locks, security system and new stuff to make it a comfy cruiser. I am pumped but he is more enthusiastic than me. When we get a little further along I'll start a build thread.

I don't know about good for me, I planned to relax today but the kid has had me out there again this morning. In Canada this long weekend is called "Family Day", I suppose people are out having picnics or skating parties, we are grinding, welding and getting black with dirt. Yes, my kind of Family activity.

Thanks guys, without his motivation I'd be lost.

Being a Ford mechanic, working on modern cars, still amazes me how much he loves the old Mopars and his knowledge about them is on par with long time Mopar lovers like us.

Our above average days in Colorado are soon moving on leaving things a bit more normal most of next 10 days after today. When we get some longer days we will begin getting the parts off the shelf into the ZJ. Have all tie rods/ends, complete bushing set, T-stat, hatch lift assist shocks, trans pan gasket and exhaust gaskets. Nothing really exciting, mostly delayed maintenance. Will likely get data logger installed too. Still need to pick up some suspension parts from JY and order coil springs to remove lift kit. Going to have to save for a while to get transmission worked and high stall convertor but once the tranny is ready will be opening it up with an even bigger TB and fuel rails/injectors. Hmmm, I think I have an update on XJ that I will try to post later today....I think you guys are too old to be doing that much around your houses...lol

Good Evening. Just got in from the shop welding in another set of rear spring hangers and a bar in the trunk to accept upper shock studs. We're taking the super stock springs and comp eng drag shocks from my son's Demon, the bell, flywheel, clutch and 4 speed are out of his car and going in mine. Funny 'cause his race car is turning into a parts car for mine. After we're done mine we plan to front/backhalf or full chassis his so it's working out with our philosophy of use the parts we have.

Don't know if I told ya that I have built a '70s pro stock Leaf-Link rear suspension. Funny story about that and Herb McCandless (Mr. 4 Speed).

This is getting interesting, I hope you are taking pictures. Those leaflink setups worked for what they were, I knew a guy with a 57 chev that used one utill I lost track of him about ten years ago, high 9s.
