THIS IS HARD FOR ME TO DO
due to some debts of mine im sellin my 66 fury and possible my truck... and buyin a 98 neon thats real clean lookin... i kno a few issues the first gen neons had but is there anything i should look out for that you guys might kno about?
|
Not too much to fear of the 1 gen Neon, head gasket is probably the biggest issue. If it's been done, and the timing belt has been done ( recommended to change at 105k) then I say enjoy the little runner.

It is hard to let go of a vehicle that you love.

watch the front calipers! Often they will seize-up and drag on the rotors. But the problem is not the calipers. The clamps on the front flexible brake hoses rust and clamp the lines shut. They flex enough to let fluid in under braking, but wont let it flow back and free the rotor when the pedal is released.

thanks guys but never fear for i have talked myself outta sellin :)

awsome

Glad to hear you aren't parting with your rides. I've crossed-my-fingers -behind-my-back-promised to sell the 67 once or twice. Still got her in the barn!
