New Here, M body project.
hello,
im new to the Mopar forums and i have a question to ask. Me and my father are doing a project together. The car is a 1979 Chrysler Lebaron M body with a 318. Our source motor that we picked up is a 440 six pack. I have been having alot of trouble sourcing out info on the particular swap, if anyone has any info, or could post a good link on Big block swap into an M body car that would be much appreciated! ive seen it done before but i have never seen a part listing or how-to. thanks again! well, I dont know what all would be involved, I would say your best bet would be to drop the whole suspension cradle/k-member/ everything out as one unit and build from there. Depending on where the 440 is from you may have to replace the oil pan, I know for my 318-440 swap on my 73 charger I had to change the oil pan and K member, but Im sure you will figure it out when you try and mount it.
Thats my suggestion, and well since there isnt a how-to on it, you should do it ![]() |
