1968 Charger, 440/727

Well, ended up trading my old 68 for this one. It is a much better starting point for me. My old one needed more metal work than I had ambition.

Thanks guys!

@72RDRNR

Yes, central Iowa, he has a couple of them, and now my old one. I think he'll do it justice.

I have a lot to do on this new project, immediate issues are:

No trans cooler, gauge problems (all of them except oil pressure), speedometer cable is missing, fuel level sender, new window switches, driver side motor, turn signals are non-functional, brake lights non-functional, various wiring/ground problems. No radio, ant, misc dash wiring. Needs a vacuum canister, some related line work, needs new headlight(s). Have a grind/rub to figure out in the rear end somewhere, will start looking at the drums. I also want to cut the trunk out, someone did a shoddy patch job (jmo) on a couple small holes and it doesn't look the best.

Headliner, driver seat, and carpet all needs replacing or fixed. Misc other interior work, needs some dash pieces.

That's just the small stuff, it really photographs well but it's still a big project. This one, just doesn't have rust everywhere ;)

@dodgenut -

I'm trying to figure that out myself, it has a sparkle to it too, I really like it. The paint has some very rough spots, doesn't seem like there are many coats, and it's already showing wear on several corners. I figure I'll be painting it again before too long. There is a wrinkle in the stripes, which I find very annoying.
