Swapped a spare 400 for a 391 Sure grip 8.75 third member Was hoping for clear weather on my days off...was gonna swap in my 74 Dart Sport K-Frame, and disc brakes, then rebuild the rear brakes after installing the new chuck. Still hoping for clear weather soon...

Why not swap in the 5.9L R/T motor with the tranny?

Two reasons. I want a 5.9 in my Dakota, and doubt I could get another one past SWMBO. Second, I can still say it's just a 318

I picked up three A-Body consoles yesterday. Between the three of them, I should be able to cobble together two complete consoles. One for the Demon, one for the Duster.

Got the 8.75 out of the car. Next week, weather permitting, I'll pull the 8.75 out of the Duster, swap in the 3.91 Sure Grip third member, clean it up, rebuild the rear brakes, and put it in the Demon.

Gotta love Seattle weather. Haven't had a chance to get the rear out of the Duster yet, but I MAY have scored another 5.9 today. I hate to jynx it, but met a guy that want's to swap his 5.9 in his 02 Ram for a 5.7 Hemi...

Hope to get the rear done this week...

will now more later...

What a ride!

Well, thought I'd update the thread a bit...

The plan has now become swap in the 5.9 R/T motor as I traded the Dak for a '97 Ram Dually CTD The 318 is at the machine shop now, cause I wanted to check it out anyway. They told me yesterday it will need to be boared, and said they would call me late yesterday, or early today...

Hmm...wonder what that means...since they didn't call...

Down side is, I have no garage, or place to work on the car till I get one built. Up side is, I have 2.3 acres to build one
