nick's 1968 Dodge Dart

This was just a few days after I got her WAYYYYY back in 2004. I was only 12 at the time

Unfortuantly this is the only picture I have on digital. I have a few other disposiable camera pictures that I will try to scan onto my girlfriends computer soon.

Sorry about the wide picture. I'll have to re-size it this evening. I just threw this picture off of photobucket. Cant resize it where I'm at b/c I'm on a teachers computer.

Just about a month after my 727 Explosion. I skipped school on this Friday. Thursday night worked on the Dart until 1am, then went to bed. Got up at 7am and was working on the Dart until 1pm, loaded up and left for the race track. Car didnt almost start.

I won the 2008 Pacific Raceways high school drags. I COULD have ran 14.00's, but I sand bagged a little bit b/c I spun the tires through 60ft on 2nd round of eliminations. AKA the picture you see here.

LAst picture: I had a .005 red light against a guy whos been racing for many years. He races a pro stock eliminator car. I beat him a month earlier though at a different race. This was in the semis.

John,

It was an original black vinyl top car. That first picture you see is how I got it in, except we tossed the hood b/c it was rusty.

I chose to not put a vinyl top back on b/c then I would have to go with a black stripe, which wouldn't match my white buckets that are in it. plus i think blue and white go together better. I don't care too much for white vinyl tops.

For the bodywork:

Dart had no rust when I got it. Lucky, considering we live in the EVERGREEN state. Rains 10 out of 7 days here.

At some point in my Darts life, she was hit on the front fender, which mis-aligned everything. While it was at the bodyshop, i also found out that it was hit on the passenger door and had the 80's bondo. 8 holes punctured in the door. That was all fixed.

It has all original body parts except for the hood.

I'm sure that car will light up a tire or two. Sounds good and strong.

Great pix there. Are you going to be at the Car Show at Evergreen High this summer? I'm going to try and get BOTH of my cars, and my truck, there in the project car class.

Probably not.

But you should come down the cruises on Friday nights at the Taco time on 196th. It used to be on Hwy 99 but theres been places built over there that took our space..

I'll have the Dart there closer to summer. I will also be at the Mopars Unlimited Sunbust show in August in grahm.

Look forward to meeting you "J".

Bigblock heart transplant.

I've gone through hell and back with this car. It's like ive built 3 cars since ive had this one.... Too many times of pulling motor, putting it back in.

Theres a 440 w/ a 3000 stall B&M, 727, 8 3/4 w/ 3:55's and a 26 inch tall drag radial out back.

Best pass I made was 12.26 @ 108. Thats also w/ a flat steel hood, no fiberglass, Schumacher headers, full exhaust, chrome tips, 650 DP...

Not badif you ask me.
