1970 Plymouth Fury III wheel and tire question

First hello all

I have a 70 Fury convertable with the stock rims and 225/75/15 tires, i am about to buy four new tires since the ones fitted are coming to the end of their lives, i was just going to go with another set of 225/75/15s and mount them on the stock rims then i thought maybe a wider set would be nicer,

so i guess my question is whats the set up i need? my Fury is lowered 3 in the rear and four in the front approx so im guessing 15x8 with zero offset 5x115.3 lug pattern and 235/70/15 tires (i want the white band type tire) but before i head to summitt with my hard earned have you guys got any advice about sizes etc

this car is basically my "daily driver" altho i dont actually drive it everyday (i ride a motorcycle) its my only car so i need my tire and wheel choice to remain practical, id love to throw a set of torque thrusts on it with some wider tires but i just dont think that would work for what i use the car for!

thanks in advance

a little lower than stock

With what you have I would stay with what works. Meaning get the same tire size when you buy the new ones. Seeing your car lowered like that would make it hard for anyone to suggest a different tire size without checking out your car. The tire store which you take it to would be better help.

Nice car and dog to.

A set of the factory 'road wheels' and the whitewall tires, would make a difference, would fit and wouldn't take away from the classic look that you now have.

225/70/R15 the 235 is usually a truck size tire still usable if you want. Being that it is lowered I'm sure clearances are limited- more so in the front when turning

after all the goin back and forth over rim sizes and what kinda rims etc i just went and ordered another set of stock size tires and i will keep my stock rims, I really enjoy driving this around just like it is, in fact i may even lift it back up an inch in the rear and two in the front since dropping it ive found its kinda bouncy at times lol

i went with new radial 225/75/15 hancook with a 3/4 whitewall, i would have liked a bigger white wall but them cokers aint cheap!!!!!!

I have 14" Hankook H724s on my Fury. They ride nice and are quiet. I plan on a set of 15" x 7" Magnum 500s and will be using the same style tires.
If you got the 724s, I think that you'll be happy.
