Lug pattern??

So I'm out shopping for new wheels. I didn't want to buy on the internet,I was a local business forever and I prefer to spend my money local. 4 wheel stores I went to Customer service S**KS!!!!. Finally found someone who wants to help me spend my money.

I have a 66 chry Newyorker. The car has 45K and is in beautiful shape, It has been modified with "Jesse James" 24" wheels and rubber band tires. They are in beautiful shape. To install these wheels, someone mini tubbed the rear,Removed the front outer wheelwells and jacked up the front. I'm not sure if the rear is up or not.
Now the prob, it has a 4 wheel disc upgrade, the rears look large, I have yet to disassemble and measure. It seems as though the lug pattern has been changed. The tire shop who did finally look said the pattern is 5 on 135.Claims this is common on F-150's Says the offset is 16.I'm used to back space. I hope to remove and measure everything today.
I'm looking for a classic look, maybe smoothies with dog dish caps in chrome or something simple and classy.

What should lug pattern be? How about standard backspace (or offset)?
Thanks for any help!! Steve

All you need is some pom-poms and your set....I agree get those wheels off of the ole beauty. I would put steel wheel with covers if it were mine. But its not mine its yours so go with what makes you happy...Bill

Without getting someone to measure, hard to say. Lincolns used a "big" pattern, but the standard Mopar one is 4.5" same as most Ford passenger cars. Both Lincoln, big Mercs and Chrysler Imperial used a 5 x 5" pattern for awhile

Most likely the rear end has been changed probably to a Ford because of the disks. later Mopar trucks were 5x5

Well I measured.....5 on 135 (5 9/16 center to center) Used three years on f150s. Odd duck pattern. I need min 17" to clear rear discs. I've been to 4 local wheel shops with no luck. Was recommended "Coys" Wheels in Utah. He will custom drill wheels for me. Ball parked $1500.00 with tires, shipped. He will call me tomorrow with quote. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.
My options are very limited though. Unless I go to a custom Billet (NOT)!
The wheel are similar to a torque thrust in either polished or gunmetal. Chrome is not drillable. 17 X 8 with a black wall tire. I don't really want the upkeep of polish, but gunmetal may not look good on a white car with a green roof.

The front is the same as the rear(bolt pattern) and it is not a ford 9" out back.

If there is enough material you could have them re drilled for the 4 1/2 pattern

I think youre measuring wrong. The 5.5" pattern equate to 139.7mm
This is a measurement of the bolt circle diameter. If you had a 4 bolt or 6 bolt circle you could effectively measure from center to center. You need to measure from the top (outside edge) of the lug at 12 o'clock to the center of the second lug (roughly 5 o'clock)
My guess is 5.5 inches. Most of the wheel you'll find with this bolt pattern are going to be truck wheels. Go to Tire Rack and check out wheels for a 1990 Dodge D150 but watch your offset.
